Evaluation: 4.Who would be the audience for your media product?

The target audience for my media product would be teenagers, meaning anyone from the age 13 and upwards. As the film goes on the intensity and realism of the story line will help entice an older audience also. Similar films to mine is the film Taken in terms of a character being kidnapped however films like Kidulthood/Adulthood would also be similar to my media production as they all are set and filmed in London which is where my film will be set also. Kidulthood/Adulthood appeals to young people as it is a very relate able for someone growing up in London city. Since my film is based on two young females being kidnapped, i suppose the film would appeal to the female gender however i think is is versatile enough to appeal to males also. During the pre-production stages of my media project i conducted primary research with different ages of my target audience through questionnaires. I then used this is in order to help choose the sub-genres of my thriller opening sequence.

My target audience would be in between safety/security and love/belonging in Maslows hierarchy as they would want a sense of security by the end of the that justice has been served, however the reason they would watch the film is because of their love of films and the thriller genre specifically.
